"gabawh" and "wackgo"
Roughly translates as "Goodbye" and "I go". It took us about a week and a dozen other adults to figure out what he was saying but there you have it. Given the context in which he's using them, these are our best guesses. Amazing!
Of course, this language explosion comes along with massive tantrums because he knows what he's saying but we're clueless. Oy!
Christmas was a lot of fun though. He had a great time opening all his gifts and the grandparents did a wonderful job restraining their buying power, LOL. I'm very greatful for that because DH and I didn't do as good a job. =\ At least Simon loves all his gifts and is using them all almost everyday.
Spent a couple of hours at the new daycare with DS on Friday. He did well enough but mostly just checked out all their toys. He didn't interact much with the other children but I'm sure that will come along with a short amount of time. He's just gotta get used to the space.
Hope you all had a great holiday!

When do we get to see a pic of Simon with his vaccume toy?
At his age don't expect him to interact much with other kids, esp. as he is a boy and a first/only child. He'll come around after some exposure, but some boys don't really interact until closer to 3 years.
:0) Monica
monica, i'll post a pic with the vacuum shortly. i've been a little lax in getting pics of the camera since Christmas. *blush*
as for playing, apparently he did wonderfully at daycare yesterday. he even consoled a 15mo girl when she fell down. went over and rubbed her back. =D
